According to Adam Schefter, the Washington Redskins tried to reel Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper on Wednesday to come to Washington, but were unsuccessful.
Here’s a twist: the Washington Redskins pursued Amari Cooper today and tried to pry him away. Dallas prevailed. https://t.co/DNuD48VV0B

And apparently, the deal with the Redskins would have made him the highest paid WR in the league. But as we know, Cooper made it clear: He wants to be a Cowboy for life.
I also can confirm the Redskins offered Amari Cooper enough money to make him the league's highest-paid WR.

Cooper ended up signing a 5 year, $100 million deal with the Cowboys. The Redskins are desperate for a wide receiver, especially after they traded Stefon Diggs to the Minnesota Vikings for draft picks.
Last season alone, Cooper recorded 1,189 receiving yards and 8 TDs. In his career, he has 5,097 yards receiving, and 33 TDs.
He led the Cowboys in receptions and receiving yards last season.
