Throughout the final stages of his rehab, Thompson and Steve Kerr have indicated the 31-year-old guard will make his highly-anticipated debut at home in front of Golden State’s fanbase in the Bay Area.

After playing the Miami Heat on Monday, the Warriors will have two road games before meeting the Cavs on Sunday at Chase Center. Following Golden State’s contest against Cleveland, the team won’t play in the Bay Area until Jan. 18.

As he prepares for his return to the court, Thompson recently joined Steph Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ starters in a scrimmage for the first time. Thompson has also been spotted getting up jumpers at Golden State’s pregame shootarounds.
