Former Georgia running back Nick Chubb has tested positive for COVID-19, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The Cleveland Browns running back is vaccinated, so there is still a possibility he can play in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
In order to play on Sunday, Chubb will need two negative tests 24 hours apart.
Demetric Felton, a third string running back on the Browns, also tested positive according to Schefter.
Browns’ RBs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell ESPN.
Both players are vaccinated, thus their status for Sunday’s game against New England remains in question. Each player would need two negative tests 24 hours apart to play.

Chubb is coming off one of his best games of the year last week in which he recorded 137 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Bengals. This season, Chubb ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards with 721 through seven games. His six yards per carry are second most in the league behind only Lamar Jackson.
