Report: NFL postpones Titans-Steelers Week 4 game with Bills on-deck

Latest news on the Titans and COVID-19. The Buffalo Bills and Titans play in Week 5.

After the Tennessee Titans had an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in their organization early this week, the NFL has reportedly made their first decision on what will happen next.

The Titans, scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers next on Sunday, will have that Week 4 meeting postponed, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini. The game could reportedly be pushed back just one night to Monday Night Football, or it could even be moved to Tuesday.

While seemingly having nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills, it does. The Bills face the Titans in Week 5, therefore, one way or another, the Titans appear to be en route for a shorter amount of time to prepare for the Bills in Week 5.

And of course, there are huge safety concerns the Bills will want sorted out before visiting the Titans.

In Week 3, the Titans played the Vikings. In response to the outbreak on the Titans, which has been upped to nine totals cases in the organization including four players, both teams closed their team faculties.

The Titans announced they’d be closed until Saturday while the Vikings said the precaution would be in place for 48 hours or until testing comes back negative for them. As of Wednesday, zero positive cases have been discovered on the Vikings.
