Report: Nets players will figure out ‘who said what’ from group chat

Kyrie Irving has received more criticism than anyone since he and other players voiced they don’t what the NBA season to resume in July.

Although Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard have both expressed similar sentiments to Kyrie Irving regarding the NBA continuing the 2019-20 season in late July, the Brooklyn Nets point guard has received the majority of the criticism. While Howard is a big name in the league, he doesn’t possess the star-power he used to — certainly not to the level of Irving does now.

And the criticisms have come from everywhere. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith doesn’t agree with Irving’s approach — though, he did single out Howard, too. Former NBA players like Jay Williams, Kendrick Perkins and Matt Barnes have made their stance clear on how they feel about what Irving is doing. Some current players — like ex-Nets forward Ed Davis — don’t agree with Irving either.

Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy is reporting the Nets point guard doesn’t appreciate at all how he’s been treated lately:

Kyrie Irving’s conference call last week was a vehicle for players to voice concerns about going to Orlando. Irving feels attacked because what went from being a conversation amongst players has become personal and the Nets PG feels scapegoated.

Robinson is also reporting that Nets players “have their theories” regarding the group text controversy, and “the process of elimination of who said what has been discussed amongst players.”
