According to multiple reports, a Michigan State Basketball spokesman confirmed that MSU practiced on Monday. This was one major hurdle that the team needed to clear before their game with Rutgers on Thursday could be played, a game which head coach Tom Izzo said he was expecting to happen.
According to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press, the spokesman was careful to confirm that it wasn’t the full team practicing as Davis Smith is still isolated, and he didn’t comment on Mady Sissoko, Steven Izzo or Josh Langford, all of whom had contracted COVID-19.
The Spartans have been running conditioning and individual practices since Jan. 14.
Spokesman confirms it wasn’t the full team (Davis Smith still in isolation). MSU had been doing individual/group work as since Jan. 14. Unclear if the any/all other three who had COVID (Sissoko/S. Izzo/Langford) participated. https://t.co/BGNBhrNsPt
