Report: Jets not inquiring with Tom Brady to replace Aaron Rodgers

To no one’s surprise, Tom Brady will not be joining the Jets.

Hopeful New York Jets fans will have to look to Zach Wilson or someone else to save them after the catastrophic season-ending injury suffered by quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Monday night.

Because it won’t be Tom Brady.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Jets will not be inquiring with the former New England Patriots legendary quarterback to replace Rodgers. Russini also noted that Brady has told those close to him that he’s “done playing football”.

Brady recently appeared as an honorary guest for the Patriots at Gillette Stadium and gave an epic speech to longtime fans. He called himself a Patriot “for life” in the speech. So it would have been a bit surprising if he turned around and joined the team’s biggest division rival.

To put it bluntly, it was never happening.

Rodgers’ injury opens things up wide in the AFC East division.

The Patriots will still face an uphill battle against the Jets, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, but things aren’t nearly as bleak as they were before the start of the season.
