Jedrick Wills left his first start as the Cleveland Browns left tackle early. Wills limped off the field in the second half of the Browns’ dreadful 38-6 loss in Baltimore with an injured leg.
Wills was taken to get X-rays inside the stadium. Reports from numerous sources, including Pro Football Talk, indicate the X-ray was negative for any fracture. Wills is set to get an MRI on the injured knee on Monday back at the Browns training facility in Berea.
Several reports speculate that Wills suffered a bone bruise. If so, expect the first-round rookie from Alabama to be ready to play — albeit in pain — on Thursday night when the Browns host the rival Cincinnati Bengals.
Wills looked good in his debut, part of an upgraded offensive line that played much better than the final score would indicate.
