Jalen Green, the projected second overall pick, will reportedly only work out with the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets ahead of the NBA draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
Green will visit the Pistons soon for a private workout and will travel to see the Rockets at their practice facility. He is not scheduled to see any other teams outside of the Pistons and Rockets, who hold the first two picks in the draft.
He is highly touted for his dynamic ability on the court as a playmaker and potential to develop into a bona fide superstar. Some believe Green can eventually be the best scorer from this draft, and he showed why by averaging 17.9 points per game last season.

The Rockets, who have been aggressive in pursuing the top pick from the Pistons, are said to be deciding between Green and Jalen Suggs with the second pick if they cannot secure a trade with Detroit. They will have an opportunity to get a closer look on the upcoming visit.
Detroit is widely expected to take Cade Cunningham with the first pick but has also been linked to Green. Certainly, Green strongly believes he should be one of the first two players taken off the board after only agreeing to see the Pistons and Rockets.
The top of the draft board figures to be interesting to watch unfold as each team seemingly has been linked to several rumors and trade speculation lately, and it should only intensify as July 29 nears.
