The confrontation between New York Giants head coach Joe Judge and former offensive line coach Marc Colombo that ended in Colombo’s dismissal apparently had Giants management concerned that the ugly situation was going to get uglier.
Multiple reports now suggest that team management had Columbo escorted from the premises to avoid the situation from escalating into a possible physical scuffle between the two men.
I've heard similar to what Mike is saying: After what transpired Tuesday night, Giants management thought it was best to avoid an escalation of another potential confrontation between Judge and Colombo on Wednesday, so Colombo was initially informed by security, not Judge. https://t.co/XKOsvZxg9k

Imaginations have been running wild over this clash for days now. Colombo apparently took umbrage to Judge’s decisions to add veteran assistant Dave DeGuglielmo to the staff as a consultant to the offensive line. That was followed by a shouting match which led to Judge’s firing of Colombo.
Colombo is former NFL offensive tackle who stands 6-foot-8 and was a favorite of Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells, who coached Columbo in Dallas.
Judge, as we know, exudes confidence and has a Parcells-like edge to him meaning he’s intent on getting his way. One can see how this could have gotten to the next level in a hurry.
