Recently-released former Tennessee Titans cornerback and first-round pick, Adoree’ Jackson, is expected to have a visit with the New York Giants.
The news comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, although it isn’t clear exactly when this meeting is supposed to take place.
Jackson was unexpectedly released by the Titans last week with the team undergoing a massive overhaul following a lackluster 2020 campaign for its defense. He was set to play on a fifth-year option in 2021.
The former No. 18 overall pick missed 13 games for Tennessee last season while battling a knee injury. Even when he did return, it was clear Jackson was not himself, and it showed with poor play on the field.
Jackson has shown flashes of being a top-flight corner in the past, but injuries remain an issue for him reaching his full potential. He also missed five games in 2019 but played well when healthy.
With James Bradberry already in the fold, Jackson would be a stellar No. 2 cornerback in Big Blue’s defense, and he has experience as a returner. He’d also have an opportunity to reunite with Logan Ryan, his former teammate in Nashville.
