On Wednesday, Ian Rapoport reported that Fletcher Cox was dealing with significant back discomfort, leading to the veteran defensive tackle receiving an epidural injection to ease the pain.

Cox hasn’t missed much time during his Hall of Fame career, but Derrick Gunn reports that he’ll likely be ruled out for Sunday’s West Coast matchup against the Rams.

Cox hasn’t missed a game of significance since 2017, and if he can’t play, it could allow Jalen Carter to have an extended look playing next to Jordan Davis.
