When it comes to pursuing monstrous offensive linemen, the Oregon Ducks have shown that they are willing to get into the game. In the class of 2024, the Ducks signed four-star offensive tackle JacQawn McRoy, who stands at 6 feet, 8 inches and 365 pounds. A year earlier, they signed junior college OT George Silva, who stands at 6-foot-7, 320 pounds.
Now, it appears that they might be going after a player who puts both of those numbers to shame. 2025 interior offensive lineman Byron Washington stands 6 feet, 8 inches and 400 pounds.
Washington has become a very popular recruit on social media. Images of him blocking at DeSoto High School in Texas have gone viral. According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, the Ducks are one of several teams who are recruiting the three-star guard rated No. 686 overall in the 2025 class.

At the moment, Oregon has four commitments and the 10th-ranked class in 2025. We will see how they are able to add to that, potentially with another massive offensive lineman.
