According to a new report, free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to sign with the Tennessee Titans.

The news comes from Doug Kyed of AtoZ Sports, who notes that the deal is expected to be finalized over the next few days. The terms of the expected deal were not revealed. Kyed’s report has since been confirmed by ESPN’s Dianna Russini.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hopkins’ deal with the Titans is for two years and $26 million and has a max value of $32 million. His base salary for 2023 is $12 million, with a max of $15 million.

This is a massive get for the Titans, who go from having one of the weakest wide receiver rooms in the NFL to a much more formidable one.

With Hopkins apparently now in the fold, each of the Titans’ current wide receivers get pushed down one spot on the depth chart, including Treylon Burks, who was slated to be the team’s No. 1.

The addition of Hopkins should make Burks’ life much easier, as defenses won’t be able to key in on him as much — and the same can be said for tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, the third member of this impressive trio of pass-catchers Tennessee now finds itself with.
