When the Minnesota Vikings traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for wide receiver Jalen Reagor, there was an odd level of excitement. The Vikings got the player that the Eagles took over superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson and they took a shot on a player who has talent, but was unable to achieve anything in Philadelphia for numerous reasons.
In the trade, the Vikings gave up a 2023 seventh-round pick and a conditional 2024 fifth-round pick that could turn into a fourth-round pick if certain conditions are met.
According to Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice, those conditions have been revealed. If Reagor achieves any of the following three stats in either 2022 or 2023, the fifth-round pick will become a fourth-round pick.
- 40 receptions
- 500 receiving yards
- Five touchdowns
Needless to say, that didn’t come to fruition at all in 2022. Reagor was solidly the fourth wide receiver who received less than 10 snaps per game in all but two of the Vikings 17 games. He only amassed eight receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Luckily for the Vikings, there aren’t any qualifiers for being a punt returner.
