Kansas City Chiefs free agent WR Sammy Watkins appears to be the most coveted receiver remaining in free agency.

Watkins is set to visit the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday. Assuming he makes it out of M&T Bank Stadium, he’ll have another visit lined up the following day with the Indianapolis Colts according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In addition to the Ravens and Colts, both the Titans and Texans have shown some level of interest in Watkins per Schefter.

The No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, Watkins spent the first three seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills before heading to the Los Angeles Rams for a season. He’s spent the past three seasons with the Chiefs as a key component on offense. The big problem has been the 27-year-old’s inability to stay healthy for a full season.

The common theme among the teams that are showing interest in Watkins is that they’ve all been in the AFC playoff picture over the past two seasons. It’s pretty clear that these teams are valuing Watkins for his playoff experience. He’s also just one of the best remaining players on the market at the position.

The Ravens and the Colts both have connections with to the Chiefs that could make them appealing destinations to Watkins. John Harbaugh is a part of Andy Reid’s coaching tree. Meanwhile, Chris Ballard became General Manager in Indianapolis after working in the Chiefs’ front office from 2013-2016.
