The #Chiefs are expected to sign former #Giants CB DeAndre Baker to their practice squad in the coming days, source says. The 2019 first-round pick is headed there for a visit, as @NYPost_Schwartz noted. That’s the only planned visit and, barring a snag, he’ll be a Chief.

Former New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker will be getting a second chance in the NFL as he will reportedly be signing with the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Baker, who will be making his return after the charges against him have been dropped, was released from the Giants in September when he ran into legal issues. However, news broke Monday that the armed robbery charges against him were dropped and the lawyer of the accusers was arrested.
As Baker makes his return to the NFL, it was also reported that the Giants had no plans of bringing back the 2019 first-round pick out of Georgia. After he struggled during his rookie season and then faced some legal issues, the Giants cut bait.
As the Giants keep an eye on the future, while making progress seemingly every week, they will be doing so without one of their three first-round picks from the 2019 class.
And now Baker will get his chance at redemption while working his way up the depth chart in Kansas City.
