Kansas City Chiefs CB Bashaud Breeland has been arrested on a variety of charges in York County, South Carolina according to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Teicher.
The 28-year-old cornerback is currently is in county jail with no bond set. He has currently been charged with resisting arrest, having alcohol, beer or wine in a motor vehicle with the seal broken, possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams of hash, and driving a vehicle without a license.
Teicher reached out to the Chiefs for comment and while they are aware of the situation, they had no further comment on the matter. Breeland’s agent also did not respond after a request for comment.
Breeland re-signed with Kansas City on a one-year deal after testing the free-agent waters. He finished the 2019 season with 15 games started, recording 48 total tackles, two interceptions and eight passes defended. He was a starting CB for the Chiefs throughout the season and during Super Bowl LIV.
