For a second time in less than a week, another team has signed a New England Patriots quarterback off the practice squad.
Last week, it was the Baltimore Ravens signing Malik Cunningham, and this time, it’s the Los Angeles Chargers reportedly signing Will Grier off the Patriots’ practice squad.
The Chargers are fresh off one of the most embarrassing blowouts in franchise history. With Justin Herbert sidelined with an injury, the team is leaving no stone unturned at the quarterback position. Grier never saw the field for the Patriots, but he is a veteran player with starting experience at the quarterback position.

Perhaps this move could give Grier the opportunities he never found in New England. As for the Patriots, they’re suddenly down to only Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones as the only two quarterbacks left on their roster.
