The Boston Celtics are poised to add Golden State Warriors player development assistant Aaron Miles to new head coach Ime Udoka‘s coaching staff according to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer.
The Celtics have been cleaning house with regards to internal structure and organization after the retirement of former team president Danny Ainge at the end of the 2020-21 NBA season and the elevation of then-head coach Brad Stevens to that role. Much of the team’s coaching staff has since left for other jobs or not returned for the coming 2021-22 campaign, with San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Will Hardy and Pacific head coach Damon Stoudamire joining Udoka’s staff in recent weeks.
Miles is a former player who was a Warrior for one season before a successful career overseas from which he made the leap into coaching at his alma mater of Kansas.
