Report: Buccaneers to use Dolphins’ facilities for practice, possibly game

Sunday Night Football may take place at Hard Rock Stadium.

With the Miami Dolphins playing an early game this week at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, the Baptist Health Training Complex will be available for use in the later part of the week.

That’s great news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are trying to stay out of the way of Hurricane Ian, as according to the Athletic’s Greg Auman, the Dolphins are allowing Todd Bowles’ team to practice there during the week.

The Buccaneers are supposed to host the Kansas City Chiefs for Sunday Night Football at Raymond James Stadium this week in, but the hurricane may change those plans. According to Fox Sports’ Andy Slater, Miami has also made Hard Rock Stadium available if the game can’t be played in Tampa.

Slater also made sure to note that the Buccaneers will not be allowed to use the Dolphins’ meeting rooms, just the indoor and outdoor practice fields as well as the weight room.

This will mark the second time that Bowles’ team comes to Miami this year, as the two teams participated in a pair of joint practices and a preseason game together during the summer.

UPDATE: ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reports that the NFL is more likely to use U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota (home of the Vikings) if the game were to be moved from Tampa.
