Report: Browns reach contract extension agreement with Nick Chubb

Reports indicate the Browns and Chubb have agreed to a 4-year contract extension

One of the bigger offseason questions hanging over the Cleveland Browns has been answered with a positive affirmation. Per Mike Jones of USA TODAY, the Browns and star running back Nick Chubb have reached an agreement on a 4-year contract extension.

Exact details of the deal are not yet confirmed, but the deal is expected to make Chubb among the highest-paid running backs in the NFL. It will keep him in Cleveland through the 2025 season. Chubb, 25, ran for 1,067 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games in 2020, his third NFL season.

Chubb is one of several Browns standouts who are eligible for contract extensions, a group that also includes Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward.
