Report: Browns offering Jadeveon Clowney most money

If Clowney wanted to play in Cleveland, he’d already be there.

The NFL may have hit the dead period for signing free agents, but big names like Jadeveon Clowney still remain unsigned.

According to a report from Emmett Golden, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said the Browns offered the defensive end “the most money” and that if he had wanted to play in Cleveland, he’d already be there.

The Tennessee Titans are among the teams that have shown interest in Clowney this offseason, and have apparently made him multiple offers.

One takeaway from all of this is that Clowney seems to be interested in factors beyond a paycheck as he looks for his next landing spot — and he’s not in a major hurry to sign.

Many Titans fans would like to see Clowney land in Nashville, and it will be interesting to see where he ultimately takes the field.

The Titans have already strengthened their group of edge rushers by signing Vic Beasley earlier this year, but there’s no denying that bringing on Clowney would instantly boost the defense.
