Report: Brooklyn Nets have hired a new head athletic trainer

Reports indicate that the Brooklyn Nets have officially signed a new athletic trainer, Jonathan Filipe, former associate director for the Olympic Committee.

With the NBA preseason coming to an end, the Brooklyn Nets have ended the exhibition schedule with a .500 record, bringing home two wins in their final games.

The Nets have signed the head athletic trainer for the New York Football Club and former US Olympic trainer Jonathan Filipe to the franchise. Filipe announced his addition by adding the job to his LinkedIn profile.

The Nets organization is utilizing the remaining time before the regular season to solidify their front office and staff positions that will put them in a winning mindset. The franchise signed former GM Jeff Bowers to the scouting team, with an undisclosed position title.

Filipe was the Associate Director of sports medicine for the Olympic committee for a few years. His addition to the team will be vital as every season several Nets players go down with injuries. Hopefully, he can prevent further injuries and help the players recover correctly.
