It’s still early, but the initial update on the injury sustained by Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard against the Pittsburgh Steelers is a positive one.
Bernard hit the ground awkwardly and ended up leaving the game because of an ankle injury.
Not only did Bernard not return to the eventual 31-17 win, he needed assistance from a medical cart to leave the field. Bernard seemed upset with a towel over his head as he left on the vehicle.
However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said the initial update is positive as Bernard has reportedly not broken any bones. X-rays at Highmark Stadium were negative, per Rapoport.
We still need to wait and see how much of that update is worth celebrating. It’s reported that Bernard has an ankle sprain and that could still keep him out an extended period.
Following Buffalo’s win over Pittsburgh, they’ll now host the Kansas City Chiefs in their upcoming AFC Divisional round clash.
Bills Wire will provide injury updates when information is made available.
