Included in the slew of moves the Bills made last week, the defensive end position was included. Mario Addison restructured his contract with the team.
But Buffalo might not be stopping there. According to the Indy Star, the Bills are one of five teams interested in pending Colts free agent defensive end Denico Autry.
According to Colts Wire, the 30-year-old certainly reads as the type of player Bills head coach Sean McDermott likes. He has versatility to play both on the edge and the interior of the defensive line.
Autry is coming off a 7.5-sack season and improving the pass rush is a top need for the Bills this offseason. Addison led Buffalo in sacks last season with only five.
In 2020, Pro Football Focus ranked Autry a 63.9 overall mark. That was good for the football analytics outlet’s 62nd best edge defender in the NFL.
While not exactly a super high praise by PFF, Autry did give the Bills a front-row seat to his abilities. In the Bills-Colts Wild Card weekend matchup, he had 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss.
Aside from the Bills, reportedly interested in him include: the Jets, Ravens, Patriots and Panthers.
