With the ongoing situation unfolding for the Carolina Panthers, we’re going to continue hearing some rumblings relating to the Buffalo Bills.
The Panthers have already traded receiver Robbie Anderson after firing head coach Matt Rhule. In terms of more moves coming from the Panthers, many are looking at star running back Christian McCaffrey.
The NFL trade deadline is upcoming on Nov. 1. Could Buffalo be a location for McCaffrey to end up?
Some of the latest insight comes from CBS Sports. According to their report, the Bills are one of four teams mentioned that have what’s described as a “varying” amount of interest in McCaffrey.
Here’s the full part of the report that mentions the Bills:
And while teams are calling about Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers have not engaged in any serious trade talks. Carolina isn’t just going to give away one of the league’s best weapons when healthy. The Broncos, 49ers, Rams and Bills are among the teams that have shown varying degrees of interest in McCaffrey.
Connections to Buffalo make sense, but could be unlikely.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane was part of the front office that drafted McCaffrey before he took his post in Buffalo. As always, it takes two to tango. How much will the price be? Can the Bills make the salary cap implications work?
Those decisions are up to Beane.
