Report: Bills’ Levi Wallace not believed to have long-term injury

Injury update for Buffalo Bills cornerback Levi Wallace.

Bills cornerback Levi Wallace got the Week 4 start for his team against the Las Vegas Raiders. Noteworthy since it was the first game that cornerback Josh Norman was activated from the team’s injured reserve list (hamstring).

However, Wallace’s day only last six snaps. His team went on to win 30-23, but Wallace injured his ankle when he tried to go up for an interception very early in the contest.

A pass from Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was deflected and Wallace tried to adjust to make the grab, causing him to awkwardly land on his ankle. Now, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Wallace’s injury is “not believed” to be a long-term injury.

Without Wallace, Norman did fill-in and had a big game, causing a crucial turnover via a forced fumble that the 32-year-old also recovered. Moving forward, it will remain to be seen who starts opposite of Tre’Davious White in Buffalo’s secondary at cornerback, but the Bills would certainly welcome more talent via both Wallace and Norman being healthy.
