Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been playing at a MVP pace in 2024 all while being injured.
Ahead of Buffalo’s Week 16 contest against the New England Patriots, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport updated the hand issue Allen has played through this season.
Per Rap Sheet, Allen’s non-throwing left hand has been broken since Week 1:
From @NFLGameDay: #Bills QB Josh Allen has been playing at an MVP-caliber level… with a broken hand; Meanwhile, the #Patriots view Jerod Mayo as their leader for the future and absent a freefall to end the season, he’s likely to return. pic.twitter.com/J80DjdptZg

The update comes as Allen has finally been taken off of Buffalo’s injury report heading into Sunday. Since Week 1, Allen has been listed on it as a “full participant” because any player who gets any medical treatment has to be noted, no matter how serious it is.
Allen has not only played through the issue, he has at an insanely-high pace.
Heading into the Bills’ final three games of the season, Allen is far-and-above the favorite to win the 2024 NFL MVP Award… making his efforts all the more impressive.
In Week 1, Allen knocked his hand on an Arizona Cardinals player while rushing in a touchdown. He wore a brace on his left hand the entire season since that point. It remains to be seen if Allen continues to wear it against the Pats and moving forward.
Bills Wire will provide updates as information is made available.
