Alabama basketball finalized its 2020 recruiting class on Wednesday with a collection of several impressive prospects. But it was also announced that the Crimson Tide would be losing a player as well.
Jeff Goodman with Stadium announced via Twitter that rising sophomore Jaylen Forbes would be transferring, according to a source:

The move, while not overly surprising, does mean another potential loss for a promising basketball team entering the 2020-21 season. Forbes played sparingly, averaging 10.4 minutes per game, during his true freshman season.
The 6-foot-4, 186-pound guard also averaged 2.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.5 assist while shooting 33.3-percent from beyond the arc.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Forbes was actually Alabama’s second highest-rated commitment for the 2019 class, slotting him behind Juwan Gary, who suffered a season-ending injury prior to the season, and just ahead of freshman standout Jaden Shackelford.
Forbes was rated the No. 104 overall prospect, No. 18 shoot guard and No. 2 player from the state of Mississippi.
