The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took linebacker Devin White with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, marking the first time the franchise had taken a linebacker in round one since 1995, when they selected Derrick Brooks out of Florida State.
Brooks went on to have a Hall of Fame career with the Buccaneers, easily establishing himself as perhaps the best player to ever wear a Tampa Bay jersey. Brooks was part of the 2002 team that ended up winning Super Bowl XXXVII, the first and only championship in Bucs history.
