Regional Scouting: The No. 16 seed Clemson Tigers

Ahead of Auburn’s weekend in the Clemson Regional, here’s a look at what the regional host brings to the table.

A miraculous season continues for the Auburn Tigers, as they will compete in the Clemson regional on the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Auburn is considered the “No. 17” seed of the tournament, as they were the first pick outside of the 16 regional hosts that were selected. Because of this, their road begins at Clemson this weekend, who earned the No. 16 seed after finishing 3rd in the ACC behind Florida State, and Duke, who earned top-eight seeds and are poised to host the super regionals next weekend.

Outside of Auburn and Clemson, the regional will consist of Cal-State Fullerton and UNC-Greensboro. Auburn will open the Clemson regional by facing Cal-State Fullerton on Friday at 4:30 CT at McWhorter Stadium in Clemson.

Ahead of this weekend’s regional, Auburn Wire will break down what each team brings to the table beginning today with regional host, Clemson.

What is the Tigers’ home record? How have they stacked up against tier-one teams this season? Who are the players to watch? All of that information, and more, can be found below.
