Recruiting services all list Michigan as winners on signing day

When it came to national signing day, all three recruiting services listed Michigan football as big winners. Here’s why.

Remember when there was a gnashing of teeth when it came to Michigan football recruiting in the 2021 cycle — initially last spring and again just before early signing day?

It’s difficult to remember now that Michigan football has pulled in most of the prospects it was targeting, including Donovan Edwards and Xavier Worthy on early signing day and having flipped Rayshaun Benny from rival Michigan State and Ikechukwu Iwunnah from Colorado on national signing day proper. The Wolverines are now No. 9 on Rivals, No. 10 on 247Sports and No. 14 in the ESPN 300.

As a matter of fact, all three major recruiting services deemed Michigan football a winner on national signing day, each praising the job that Jim Harbaugh & co. did down the stretch. Here’s what each had to say about the maize and blue closing out with a solid class that’s 23-strong in 2021.
