Recap: OKC Blue dominates Mexico City Capitanes, 114-91.

The G League’s OKC Blue collected a 114-91 win over the Mexico City Capitanes on Wednesday to improve to 5-9.

This was the second consecutive game for the Blue against the Capitanes. They won in a blowout at home on Monday.

It was the fourth time these teams matched up, which meant the Blue were pretty familiar with how to defend the Capitanes.

OKC held a 21-18 lead following the first quarter and a 59-39 lead at the half. The Blue maintained a double-digit lead throughout the entire second half to come away with a relaxed win.

The Blue shot 50% from the field and went 11-of-34 (32.4%) from 3. They dished 30 assists on 42 baskets. Six players, including three Thunder players, scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Capitanes shot 48% from the field and went 4-of-26 (15.4%) from 3. Mexico City committed 25 turnovers, which led to 33 points for the Blue.

  • Tre Mann: 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting, 2-of-8 from 3, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals

  • KJ Williams: 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, four rebounds, four assists
  • Ethan Thompson: 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting, three rebounds, two assists, two steals
  • Justin Wright-Foreman: 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting, 1-of-4 from 3, four assists, three rebounds
  • Kenneth Faried: 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting, nine rebounds
