Recap: Lakers fall apart in fourth quarter to lose vs. Pacers

The recap of the Los Angeles Lakers’ home loss to the Indiana Pacers.

One game after an impressive win against the Utah Jazz, the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Indiana Pacers, 111-104.

Los Angeles had dominated in the first half and built a 15-point lead with Russell Westbrook and Talen Horton-Tucker hitting 3s. However, Indiana roared back in the second half, and Caris LeVert took over in the fourth.

LeVert scored 22 of his 30 points in the final 12 minutes. The Lakers, as a team, scored 24 in the quarter and could not generate stops on defense. Even if they did, Indiana secured the offensive rebound and turned it into points.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 37 minutes, and Horton-Tucker added 20 points, seven assists and two blocks off the bench on 9-of-14 shooting.

Westbrook made 4-of-6 shots from downtown, but he struggled mightily inside the arc with a 5-of-17 clip overall for 14 points.

The Lakers are now 22-23 on the season and next face the Orlando Magic on Friday to start a six-game road trip. Indiana and L.A. split the regular-season series at 1-1.
