Today was a sad day for Michigan State fans as well as college football fans around the country as the Big Ten, along with the Pac-12, voted to postpone their fall college football season to a later start date, hopefully in the spring if possible. This is a difficult decision and one that was made in the interest of the student-athletes in the midst of a global pandemic. New Spartans head coach Mel Tucker put out a statement today regarding the postponement, which you can read below.

I definitely feel for Mel Tucker in this situation, as I am sure that he wanted to hit the ground running in his first season with the team. But I agree with his commitment to listen to actual medical officials on this issue.
