Reactions from LSU women’s basketball’s disappointing loss to Colorado in season opener

The Tigers clearly have a lot to work on after a stunning loss in the opener.

LSU was hoping to begin its national title defense in style in Las Vegas, but instead the team took a frustrating loss on national television.

The Tigers, which entered the year as the preseason No. 1 team after winning the first national title in program history last season and had an impressive haul in the offseason, were beat thoroughly by No. 20 Colorado, losing 92-78.

LSU had a solid showing offensively with four players scoring in double figures, led by true freshman Mikaylah Williams with 17 points, but it struggled defensively as Colorado hit on more than 50% of its shots.

Here’s how social media reacted to the stunning loss.
