Reacting to the big Boston bench night vs. Brooklyn in the Celtics’ 121-107 win over the Nets

The Boston Celtics had a strong bench performance in their recent 121-107 win against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Boston Celtics had a strong bench performance in their recent 121-107 win against the Brooklyn Nets this past Friday evening. Reserve Boston big man Luke Kornet played well and made important contributions to the team coming off the pine after a rough start to his 2023-24 NBA season.

Backup guard Payton Pritchard also had a good game after a slump at the start of the season, providing offensive rebounds and solid defense in addition to 13 points as a bench player. However, All-NBA Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had a relatively passive game and did not fully utilize his scoring abilities. The Celtics seemed to let their second unit take the lead in this game in spite of that, recognizing that they didn’t need their star players to carry the team.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast reacted to the bench’s big night vs. Brooklyn postgame in the clip embedded below.
