It’s moving day at the RBC Heritage.
While Webb Simpson holds a one-shot lead at 12 under following a two-hour weather delay, the biggest news to develop Friday at Harbour Town Golf Links was the withdrawal of Nick Watney after testing positive for COVID-19. Watney tested negative Monday with all other Tour personnel, but a new test Friday indicated Watney tested positive for the virus. No other Tour player has tested positive as of Friday evening.
As the third round begins Saturday, Simpson sits one shot ahead of Bryson DeChambeau and Corey Conners.
In a field that has all of the world’s top five golfers and eight of the top 10, World No. 4 Brooks Koepka had the best round, finishing 5-under 66 to sit T-5 at 9 under. World No. 5 Dustin Johnson also finished the day with a 66 to sit T-11 at 8 under.

The event marks the second event on the PGA Tour’s revised schedule. It is traditionally played the week after the Masters, but was moved from that April 16-19 date this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Like last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, which marked the PGA Tour’s restart after a three-month break, no fans will be on site at the RBC Heritage and also like last week, there were no positive coronavirus tests.
Among the most notable to sit below the cut line at 4 under were Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed and Matthew Wolff.
