The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend. On Wednesday, they released their first injury report of the year.
They are pretty healthy.
Only one player did not participate. That was rookie tackle Josh Jones. He has an ankle injury but he is the team’s third-string left tackle so he won’t be playing anyway.
What is notable is the player not listed. After running back Kenyan Drake missed time in training camp with some injury, he was not even listed on the report. As of Wednesday, he was good to go for Week 1.
Three players were limited for the Cardinals, although two simply got rest. Receivers Larry Fitzgerald and DeAndre Hopkins had no injury designation and simply were given rest, which Fitzgerald has been doing for several years on Wednesdays.
Tight end Maxx Williams was also limited with an ankle injury. He missed a bit of training camp with an injury. It might have been his ankle.
Did not participate
