Razorbacks land another defensive back, Tevis Metcalf

The Razorbacks’ secondary adds more depth with Tevis Metcalf announcing his verbal commitment on Saturday.

As the great DJ Khaled would say, “Another one.”

The Razorbacks’ secondary adds more depth with Tevis Metcalf announcing his verbal commitment on Saturday.

247 Sports lists Metcalf as a three-star athlete. The soon-to-be senior made his living as a defensive back playing for Paker high school in Pinson, Alabama. He chooses the Hogs over five power schools, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and the hottest school in the country, Colorado.

Football runs in his blood. His older brother, TJ Metcalf, is a freshman safety for the Razorbacks. Both brothers visited Fayetteville, Tevis joining his brother on most of them last year. Both brothers are cousins to NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf.

This is the ninth verbal commitment for the Hogs’ class of 2024, which is shaping up to be good, currently ranked 15th in the country and sixth in the SEC.
