Buffalo Bills wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud did his part following demonstrations in his hometown of Tampa, Florida this weekend.
Tampa Bay was one of the numerous municipalities across the country that protested in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis. Things unfortunately went a little too far.
According to reports, in Tampa’s downtown, a Champs Sports store was burned down during the protests. McCloud his brother, Jordan, and other Tampa area NFL players got together and helped with the cleanup efforts.
A wonderful act of service.

As the video indicates, Jordan McCloud is a quarterback for USF, not far from the cleanup site. Numerous reports indicate that the McCloud brothers were among the “leaders” of the cleanup crew, organizing everyone to get together to do their part. Per News Channel 8 in Tampa, protesters were attempting to enter a mall but law enforcement denied demonstrators entrance. The Champs store was located just across the stress and that’s where their attention turned. Good on McCloud & Co. to do their part in the aftermath.
