After signing with Utah Jazz on Dec. 26, rookie Rayjon Tucker recorded his first points in the NBA on Monday night during a 104-81 win over the Detroit Pistons.
With the Jazz sporting a healthy lead, Tucker got his first run of the season after checking into the game with 2:29 to go. A couple of minutes later, Tucker got the ball and then drove inside to finish the layup for his first NBA basket.
The Jazz added Tucker to provide some bench depth as the undrafted forward from Little Rock has proven to be a versatile offensive scorer. In 16 games in the G League this season, Tucker averaged 23.8 points per game on 38.6% shooting from 3-point range.

The Jazz signed Tucker to a multi-year contract with the rest of the 2019-20 season guaranteed. Tucker proved to be one of the best players in the G League this season and earned an opportunity to prove himself in the NBA as a result.
Utah returns to action on Thursday against the Chicago Bulls.
