Rayjon Tucker averaged 28.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in seven games played during the month of December.

Rayjon Tucker was named the NBA G League Player of the Month for December for games played with the Wisconsin Herd, the league announced on Thursday.

Tucker averaged 28.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in seven games played during the month. His 28.7 points ranked first among all players in the G League during that time frame.

Following his stellar start to the season, Tucker signed a multiyear contract with the Utah Jazz on Dec. 26 as the rest of the 2019-20 season is fully guaranteed. In 16 games played, Tucker averaged 23.8 points per game, good for fourth among all players.

After earning a call-up to the Jazz, Tucker made his first bucket in the NBA on Monday. With the Jazz sporting a healthy lead, Tucker subbed in and logged just over two minutes of action.

The Jazz added Tucker to provide some bench depth as the undrafted forward from Little Rock has proven to be a versatile offensive scorer. Tucker shot 38.6% from 3-point range in the G League.
