The Baltimore Ravens enter their Week 9 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings rested after the team had its much needed bye week.

The Ravens hold a 5-2 record, leading the AFC North. Their hard work did not come without sacrifices, however. Baltimore has been one of the more injury-riddled teams in the NFL after losing three running backs and a Pro Bowl caliber cornerback before the season began. Despite the injury woes, the team is in position to potentially win their division and possibly make a Super Bowl run.

One of the Ravens’ playmakers that has been sidelined for the last few weeks is wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who exited early in Week 5 with an injured hamstring. After four weeks of rest, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave an update on the status of Watkins.

On Thursday and Friday Watkins returned to practice in limited fashion.

Watkins signed with the Ravens during the 2021 offseason to be a veteran receiver for quarterback Lamar Jackson. With Marquise “Hollywood” Brown lining up on the other side and tight end Mark Andrews getting work in the passing game as well, this passing offense could become even more dangerous to opposing defenses in the second-half of the season.
