Ravens WR Odell Beckham Jr. still trying to process emotions after signing with Baltimore

Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. talks about his emotions after he signed with the team

When the Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle to sign receiver Odell Beckham Jr., they knew that they were getting someone who is going to be motivated to dominate when he’s on the field.  The Ravens need a player like Beckham, as he will being some much needed veteran leadership to the receiving room.

His presence should also make players such as Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay better players in the long run. When asked if it was an emotional time for him after he verbally agreed to the deal with the Ravens, Beckham said that he wanted it really badly, and is still trying to process those emotions.

“I think I’m still trying to process the emotions. It all happened so fast. When the surgery first happened to two to three months after that, it was very hard on me. There were some dark days that I really had to climb myself out of, and now being here with the black and purple on or the all black over there … That part’s all behind me, and I have a vision, I have a future, [and] I have something that I’m looking forward to. I’m just excited. I’m excited, but I’m also very determined and hungry, so through the smiles there’s still this eye that, ‘I really want this badly.’ I’m ready to be great, ready to be excellent again. I’m just ready for that opportunity.”
