With the No. 55 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins.
Dobbins was a highly productive runner for Ohio State last season, putting up 2,003 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns on 301 carries while adding another 247 yards and two touchdowns through the air on 23 receptions.
While running back wasn’t one of Baltimore’s most pressing needs coming into this draft, they’ve always been a franchise that picks the players highest rated on their board. With Gus Edwards on an exclusive rights free agent contract and Mark Ingram a potential cap casualty next offseason, grabbing a running back now that can be groomed into the starting role makes sense, even if fans don’t necessarily like it.
