The Baltimore Ravens have seen their roster get decimated by multiple things during 2021, including injuries, COVID-19, and more. They’ve had to adopt a true next man up mentality, and have an 8-6 record to show for it through 15 weeks so far.
On Monday after Baltimore’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Ravens announced that they placed outside linebacker Justin Houston on the Reserve/COVID-19 list while activating outside linebacker Pernell McPhee from injured reserve. It’s a trade of outside linebackers essentially, with Houston going out and McPhee coming in.

Houston is having a good season for the Ravens, accumulating 29 total tackles and 4.5 sacks. If he is unable to play in Week 16 for Baltimore it will be a big loss, as he can get to the quarterback with ease. McPhee missed five games with a knee injury, but now makes his return to a Ravens’ defensive unit that needs all of the healthy players that it can get.
