The Baltimore Ravens haven’t been able to shake the injury bug this season and it’s reared its head once again, this time in Week 16. Starting center Patrick Mekari has been ruled out with a back injury and in the middle of the third quarter, cornerback Marlon Humphrey suffered an apparent knee injury.
Humphrey stayed down on the field after tackling wide receiver Dante Pettis, holding his left knee and wincing in pain. Humphrey was able to get up and walk off the field on his own after the training staff looked at him on the field.
With Marcus Peters and Jimmy Smith already out of this game, Humphrey was obviously the team’s best cornerback remaining. With Humphrey out, Baltimore’s cornerback depth is effectively non-existent and easily the biggest concern on the team as they eye a playoff spot.
