Ravens HC John Harbaugh sheds light on status of G Ben Cleveland

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shed some light on the status of guard Ben Cleveland

The Baltimore Ravens reshuffled their offensive line group during the 2022 offseason, adding in multiple key players while also letting some move on to other opportunities. However, there are still plenty of familiar faces around, some of which will be competing for a starting job on Baltimore’s line.

One competition that has been getting a lot of attention has been the battle for the starting left guard spot. The competition appears to be between Ben Powers, Tyre Phillips and Ben Cleveland, but Cleveland hasn’t been able to suit up for any of training camp so far, and that didn’t’ change on Saturday. After the Ravens’ open stadium practice at M&T Bank Stadium, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh revealed that Cleveland is fully healthy, but hasn’t passed his conditioning test.

Baltimore’s conditioning test is known to be extremely challenging, but the Ravens trust their players to come into training camp in shape and ready to perform. The fact that Cleveland hasn’t passed the test for four-straight days has almost certainly set him back in his quest to win a starting spot on Baltimore’s offensive line, and hopefully he’ll be able to complete the test soon to get back on the field with his teammates and compete.
